GOLDEN, Colo. (KDVR) – Foothills Animal Shelter is donating dollar for dollar to benefit pets who are trying to find their forever homes.

A dog whose life was changed by the animal shelter is named spinach. Spinach, a tiny dog, arrived at the shelter with a fractured jaw and an injured eye. He received veterinary care via the shelter, and although he had to part with one eye, the spinach made a miraculous recovery.

“Your donation to Foothills Animal Shelter helps give animals in need a second chance. When you donate, you help provide life-changing care for homeless, abandoned and neglected animals right here in our community, ”said Foothills Animal Shelter Executive Director Connie Howard.

Foothills Animal Shelter will accept and match donations of up to $ 10,000 through August 31st.

If you would like to donate to Foothills Animal Shelter and animals like spinach, you can donate on the Foothills Animal Shelter website.
