Evil thugs beat cat with baseball bat while waving missing pet poster on camera in sickening Snapchat clip
WARNING – DESTRESSING CONTENT: The disgusting images were shared on social media over the weekend and have since sparked a police investigation
A devastated cat owner has expressed her horror after the release of a shocking video that appeared to show the lifeless body of her missing pet being beaten with a baseball bat.
The heartbreaking clip was shared on Snapchat over the weekend and has since sparked a police investigation.
It opens with a close-up of a poster that had been displayed asking for help in locating the lost cat, named Kiki.
A group of young men can be seen brutally beating the cat.
In the video, filmed on a cell phone, can a young person hear, “You killed him, eh?”
The clip shows the helpless animal hit with a bat and hit by the unresponsive attackers.
The cat had been missing from Burnham, Buckinghamshire, since July 11.
Kiki’s owner, named Anna, told Mirror Online: “We were looking for her and saw this video on Saturday.
Describing her missing pet, the 45-year-old said: “She’s afraid of people she doesn’t know, she doesn’t come to them.
“We just don’t know where she is, we’re still looking for our Kiki.”
“We don’t know if it’s Kiki in the video, but the cat doesn’t deserve to be hit, and they don’t care.
“People might not like animals, but you shouldn’t do this to them. Next time, it might be someone they kill.”
The poster is again shown with the word “RIP” in the video.
Anna said she told police about the footage and hoped the youths would be brought to justice.
“We hope to find out what happened in the investigation,” she said.
Alice Harman, who shared the video on Facebook, wrote: “Although it might not be Kiki in the video, and they still have the mentality of attacking animals anyway, and that’s still the somebody’s poor cat. ”
Mirror Online has contacted Thames Valley Police for comment.
