Pet Shelter Fundraising Breakfast Returns Nov. 6

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS) will host its popular Legs & Pancakes Fundraising Breakfast on Sunday, November 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Marshfield Hotel (2700 S Central Ave).

“This year, we hope to raise $20,000 through the event,” said MAPS Executive Director Karen Rau. “With the rising costs of everything, including medical supplies, veterinary fees and utilities, it is more important than ever that people attend our event and support our animals. We have seen a significant number of animal takeovers this summer and without the support of our community, our rescue work would not be impossible.

Attendees will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausages, breakfast potatoes, cinnamon rolls, applesauce, coffee, orange juice and of milk donated by Nasonville Dairy. There will also be other fun opportunities to help support local animals, including over 30 beautiful raffle baskets, 50/50 raffles and MAPS t-shirts for sale.

Funds raised from the breakfast help cover the daily expenses of caring for approximately 500 animals a year at MAPS located at 3500 Downwind Drive in Marshfield. Thanks to the generous support of the local community, homeless animals are reunited with their owners or adopted into new forever homes.

All tickets are sold at the door: Adults, $15.00. Children 4 to 12 years old, $5.00. Children under 4 eat free.
